The vehicles are unreliable and dangerous and the same can be said about the drivers. If 0 stars were an option, that would still not be low enough for this consistently terrible service. My apartment complex utilizes BeDriven for our commute and I will never recommend anyone I know to live there merely because of their horrendous choice of transportation vendor. It is so awful, a petition went around a few months ago to change the service. I'm so glad I'm moving so I never have to step foot on another BeDriven vehicle.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Instead of sending buses to Overlook, you now sent little minivans that can't accommodate the amount of people needed to get to work. We shouldn't have to pay for Ubers when we're paying HIGHER rent because this shuttle service is offered as a "perk." What are you going to do when the two, new HUGE Chase apartment buildings are completed and even more people move here and need to get to work in the morning?!?

If you cannot accommodate us, let the three apartment complexes know so they can 1- find another solution and/or knock some off of our rent so that we can buy T passes or parking passes near work.

Be Driven almost caused accident. Driver passed us on wrong side without slowing down on speed bump. I have pregnant wife and 2 year old! Incident happened at chase overlooked ridge apartments in Malden where they provide shuttle service 6/19 at 7.30pm. Bus license plate I4629 BUS #604

We've taken this service to & from the cruise terminal several times, and same for Logan airport. Never a problem: drivers are polite, professional and on-time, and the equipment is clean and comfortable. The reservations staff was exceptionally helpful in getting my wife home last winter, overcoming multiple flight re-bookings and even a switch to train travel; they handled it all quite smoothly.

This company is great if you thoroughly enjoy being left out in the cold and stranded. My housing complex utilizes this company as a "complimentary" bus service, which basically means they'll take you to work (hopefully) but you can basically go f*** yourself when you want to come home. They send buses that will fit 1/3 of the people relying on it, and the rest of them have to fend for themselves. Completely unreliable and don't give af about people.

Not sure where all the lousy reviews are coming from, but I had a good experience with BeDriven. I was out of country & last minute had no ride for late night pick up @ Logan Terminal E to bring me home to Salem. Filled out form online & got confirmation right away. Realized after that I'd need to allow time for immigration, bag pick up & customs (I had put arrival time on form). E mailed them twice to confirm I wouldn't be left with no ride due to time discrepancy.no response. Had a friend call them from Salem & woman confirmed driver allowed time.

They really should respond to emails from clients.only complaint. Driver was at Shared Van pickup lot shortly after I got there.covered kiosk to get out of rain. Seamless ride home with John. Best value in comparison to other services. Would use again but their communication primarily by phone after making online reservation could use improvement.

WORST. SERVICE. EVER. They are CONSTANTLY LATE. Our apartment complex contracts with them and their service has been so bad I plan on moving at the end of our lease because of the inconvenience the shuttle service has created with absolutely no ducks (yeah, ducks.you know what I mean) to give. Topper of the worst of the worst was the day i watched the driver (current o e driving the shuttle i am on as i type this) turn away a pregnant women and her husband because she didn't have the apartment badge on her person to prove she lived in our complex.

Her husband had their badge but the driver refused to let her on because she didn't have her's. She explained the man was her husband. Not ducks. It was snowing and cold. Still, nothing. She was pregnant and still he refused to let her on. Who even does that? What kind of person are you? Still drives the shuttle every day. Cool. No thanks.

Honestly, My boss uses them, when I first started calling them, they were so on top of things with North Shore Shuttle, sounded professional, organized, emailed us the confirmation right away. When they went to Be Driven, it went down hill, not just with software but they don't have enough people on the phones, evidently or coverage for the right times.

Can't email reservation confirmations, people that answer just say hello. Unprofessional, don't respond, can't get reservations over to me and then tell me its my computer. If I had a choice, I wouldn't use them. Too much hassle., I would rather pay more and not have to chase my own tail to get stuff done correctly. You sit on hold and then they answer and put you on hold again.

No one calls back or follows up. Just not organized. Never straightforward experience. The only semi professional sounding guy over there is Ryan. The rest sound like they should be working at a car wash. Especially the guy who answers later at night.

As many others have mentioned, if there was an option to give this company 0 stars I would. This company is entirely unprofessional and unreliable. Our apartment complex uses this service as one of their amenities and the company will often not adhere to pick up and drop offshedules. We have been told a shuttle was coming and waited an hour in freezing temperatures for our ride.

When we called to inquire about the location of the driver, we were told they were on their way; hence the wait. Instead of being honest, staff are very rude and unprofessional. That is not to be said of the drivers, but this company as a whole is a joke and should not be used.

Clearly Brian at BeDriven does not know how to do his job or give accurate information. I live in Malden and take the shuttle that states pick up is between State St and Devonshire. The driver didn't hestitate or stop and drove right by me. When I called, Brian's first response was that I should have called to tell the driver to stop. WHAT?!

It drove right by me. Suddenly I have to arrange pick up when he should be stopping? Then I'm told after going back and forth about the inaccuracy of their information that it is in fact 85 Devonshire that I am supposed to be waiting at. Completely unprofessional and misinformed.

Update 1/8/18: The shuttle just didn't show up with no prior notifications in this extremely cold weather. the driver just simply didn't try to find another route and people stayed for 35+ minutes in this weather for the next shuttle. There was a read blockage, but the rider could take the State St. as did the next driver. When you call, the customer service is unprofessional and they do not care about people. -------------------------------- Shuttles are late many times, like 20 minutes in cold weather.

I called them and hold the phone for 10+ minutes, no answer. Once I called and the person on the phone was rude and not responsible. There is one bus which is too old and very noisy. Another one, seats don't hold the vertical position and I can't seat comfortably for 45 minutes. They Also don't allow standing while the shuttle is full, while MBTA buses allow it. If this is for safety reasons, why it is OK with MBTA buses

Terrible. Actions by the driver caused a lot of undue stress for my family by being late and not prepared. I can acknowledge that one incident doesn't mean the entire company should be avoided, but to top it off the customer service groups was rude, disrespectful and didn't return calls by supervisor.

My one and only experience with Be Driven was very disappointing from the beginning starting with the rude dispatcher on the phone. The driver never even got out of the car to help with my bags on pick up or drop off. The whole ride experience was not very friendly. And then I learned I was charged an extra $10 because my flight was delayed making it a late charge.

One would think they would have advised me of a late surcharge policy upon booking my ride. Especially given the fact that I booked the ride within the time period where you could no longer cancel I would have expected to be advised at that point of any fees. Go with uber or a taxi and save yourself a hassle! Maybe they'll even open the door for you.

I used this company consistently for a few years without issue, and then the wheels fell off the wagon (or the Lincoln Towncar, I guess). I'll never use them again. The scoop: the driver didn't show and, upon calling, I learned that he overslept. The dispatcher was vaguely apologetic, telling me they didn't have any backup cars and that I should take an Uber, a taxi, or the commuter rail. Unfortunately, it was 4:45 in the morning in the suburbs north of Boston, so my options were limited there.

I finally got to the airport on my own. Missed the initial flight, and the subsequently rebooked flight was horribly delayed, first due to weather and then due to mechanical problems. I arrived in San Francisco at 8pm Pacific -- 11pm Eastern -- when I should've been there about 9 hours earlier. I basically blew a day of travel and started a vacation off on the wrong foot thanks to this company. Also, during my initial frantic call to the dispatcher, I asked to have a manager call or email me, since the company's service was unacceptable.

He promised me I'd get a callback -- it didn't happen, despite the fact that I'd probably given this company thousands of dollars in fares over a 2-3 year period due to extensive business travel. One ProTip for folks who are forced to use them: be sure to ask about the frequent customer program, which accrues points/dollars for free rides. BeDriven will never, ever tell you that this program exists -- I found out about it through a driver -- so you need to call and ask for your balance. Otherwise, you'll just keep on accruing "free rides" that you'll never know about. Classy.

Just read recent ratings I wish people read my posting before using them. The lady on the phone from be driven is so rude and unprofessional and as I stated hung up on me too. Never use them

These Google Reviews are entirely misleading. If it was an option to give this "car service" provider zero stars I would. Two words unless you're in the mood for an adventure of a lifetime getting to your destination: STAY AWAY. They hire bad drivers to do jobs that they are clearly unqualified for. This company's customer service was very unprofessional, unreliable and inaccurate.

I told them exactly where to pick me up and I was told to go find the van myself and where he was located. After walking a half mile down the street to find the guy and noticing the amount of traffic I reported to both the customer service manager AND the driver that a certain route had to be taken to avoid the traffic. The driver completely ignored my request despite repeated attempts to communicate with him, resulting in an additional hour and a half of traffic.

End result was getting home to Boston well past midnight and being forced to celebrate our friends birthday in the backseat of the van. The customer service manager admitted to me "in hindsight not sure why I hired the driver to pick you up in Salem because he speaks limited English and doesn't understand the area". I think I know the answer after repeated refusals to refund me for providing zero service besides holding me captive for 2.5 hours to go 20 miles: $$$$money.

This company is the definition of a scam artist just hoping to capitalize on you getting in the car and being okay with paying for an incompetent driver to take you on a wild ride throughout the region of New England with no clear sense in the best way to get you home. My only hope is that they take the $125 I paid for the ride and use it as a deposit for a top of the line customer service class because they are in the need of some serious professional development!

BeDriven is decent most days but never what I thought it was going to be. Since winter began, the shuttles are always late for the busiest time. I live at Alterra in Revere, which is where the company actually is and we can't even get good service. How is that even possible? It is freezing outside and there were about 40 people in line today and the past couple of days and one shuttle comes and picks up 1/4 or maybe half of them and then leaves and says another one is coming.

This next shuttle didn't show up for another 10-15 minutes and we finally got on but my girlfriend and I have been late for work multiple times because of this. These shuttles show up 1-2 minutes before they are supposed to leave. They should be showing up at least 5 minutes before the time they should be leaving. If they cannot be there 5 minutes before the time, the times need to be adjusted so people are not waiting outside in the freezing cold for them. Also, I called trying to figure out where the next shuttle is after 10 minutes of waiting past the time it was supposed to be here and the woman on the other end was super rude and hung up on me.

Yes I may have gotten a little angry but standing outside in the winter while these shuttles are late everyday is ridiculous. I would not recommend this service. There is one driver who I would recommend because he is a great guy and driver.

I am currently residing at Alterra Overrlook Ridge. Our apartment complex is gracious enough to have a shuttle to drop us off at the Malden Center and at Haymarket station inside the city. However this service is awful, they are disorganized, always late and buses keep breaking down. The past two days have been below freezing with the wind chill and I have stood outside for 20 minutes or longer waiting for my shuttle to come at 8am (on time).

However it has not only been making me late to work but letting me freeze my but off. After calling and talking to someone she notified me that a bus broke down and they were going to be off schedule these past couple days. Before I could suggest that she notify the apartment complexes she hung up on me. Rude to say the least but not caring about their customers.

The same bus has broken down at least 3 times since I have lived here and I have only lived here for 5 months. Pretty insane to say the least, I won't be renewing my least because this is a major factor for myself and boyfriend who take this shuttle service into the city everyday for work. The only ones to blame are BeDriven, to whom it may concern don't ever rent this service. If I could I wouldn't even give them a full star that's how awful this service is.

They were late to pick me up for my wedding in May 2015. That would be enough for 1 star, but it gets worse. I told them they still needed to go to the hotel, even though I was leaving via cab so that I wouldn't be late for my own wedding. Well, they didn't show up, and half an hour after my guests were supposed to leave, we found out that they canceled my reservation because I was dissatisfied.

At no point did I utter the words, "cancel my reservation". My guests scrambled via taxi/uber/carpool and made it. We delayed our ceremony by 30 minutes until everyone could get there. What a nightmare. Afterwards, I called numerous times and finally (after 3-4 tries) spoke to a woman who apologized to me. It was heartfelt, but didn't undo the mess and stress!

They were not cheaper than the other places, just had the size vehicle I needed and was located close by. I should have done more research! But, how hard is it to show up on time?!?! Don't use BeDriven!

How many chances should you give a company? After years of avoiding this company, I gave them another chance and ha some positive experiences. But they fell into old habits. If I reserve a private van for pickup at Logan, I expect it to be there waiting for me even if I am delayed by 30-40 minutes. Tonight I was told I'd have to wait an hour at the airport because of a miscommunication. Just what the two kids wanted to hear after a long flight. Make no mistake - they would have no problem charging me waiting time if it was the other way around.

Sorry, but I won't use this service again. It's unfortunate, really, because the experience with the driver was fantastic -- I wish I knew his name so I could write HIM a great review-- but the office management was, just, well. bad. I called the night before my Logan flight to book, and there was a rude voice on the other end, making it completely awkward right off the bat.

He rambled off a bunch of prices, I had TWO surcharges, one for late book (12 hours within pickup) and one for early pickup. I was forced to be picked up 2 and a half hours before my flight (4:30am!) because they didn't have any drivers "available" and then he charged me the 12 hour late notice fee even though a normal pickup time would have resulted in me not being charged!

When I asked if he could waive the fee, since technically I needed a car before the late notice fee would have kicked in, I was told the fee could NOT be waived, I could NOT cancel, and I had to be picked up early EARLY. If this company was run properly, they would understand that there are just too many great options and great customer services out there.

Next time, I'll use Lyft or Uber from the airport. And if it's early, I'll find someone else to take me. Companies like this hurt themselves and their employees where they can't afford to. If taxi service companies are so worried about P2P sharing services such as Lyft or Uber, then they should get their businesses in order and work on offering a delightful experience. Work on your customer service -- think about the greater picture -- and stop nickel- and dime-ing your patrons and MAYBE they will be loyal in the future.

We utilized the services of North Shore Shuttle for our recent vacation. Our daughter has used them for business trips; they cam highly recommended. On our departure date the driver arrived promptly for pick up. Since we were the only pick up we were upgraded from a shared van (which would have been fine) to a private town car - no additional charge.

Our driver on the morning of 05/02 (Peabody pick up) took the "back roads" to avoid the morning commuter traffic o Route 1 and had us to Delta Airlines at Logan International Airport in no time. Our return trip was less than optimal due to United Airlines having us arrive over 2 hours late. Again, our driver was waiting for us (not too many arrivals being waited for at 2:00 am!) and dropped us at home safe and sound. I would not hesitate to use North Shore Shuttle for any future needs to Logan Airport. Thank you for making our vacation transportation a breeze!

I just witnessed as well a driver speeding, riding other cars rear ends, and texting while driving. Apparently this company does transport children which as a mom this is unacceptable. This van/person should be fired---van 284.

I am a nurse who accompanies a disabled child to and from school be this company. I have witnessed- more often than I am comfortable with- distracted driving by their drivers. Texting, talking on the phone while driving, adjusting gps while driving. AND their manager/office calls their staff when they fully know they are "on the job". Despite my clients family reporting the issue, I still witness it. There are some great drivers in their staff, but too many are unsafe.

Today I was driving and one of the drivers in van 292 was texting and driving all over the road and was tailgating awfully close. I couldn't see the headlights. I pulled over and he flew around me going 50 in a school zone which was 20mph and was all over the road more. I'm glad this company ensures that there drivers are safe and obey speed limits. If he was lost it's still no excuse I will never recommend this company. It's appalling that they allow their drivers to operate like this!
