I am currently interested in the fields of Juvenile Justice & Juvenile Prevention Investigations/ Human Resources Management, Emergency Response Team, Critical Response Team and Criminal Background Investigations, though I have skills in many different areas significant to your organization. Working with juveniles detained by the State of Texas, Bexar County.
Conduct initial searching of female juveniles entering the detention center, & processing.
My duties are to provide a safe and secure environment pending court and/or placement.
Conducting staggered intervals of observation checks for the security of each youth in my care, assigned in regular sleeping areas, secured areas, and the medical unit of the facility.
Provide daily hygiene every morning, showers if necessary, issuing clean clothing and linen if needed. Assist in the acting role of a supervisor in the center if needed, securing
the facility in the absence of other supervisor personnel. Assigning detention officers to
cover the housing areas of the center, scheduling breaks data entry of daily operations.
Transportation Officer II- securing and transporting juveniles outside of the facility,
pending doctor’s appointment and/or hospital visits, and for short/long term treatments.
Main Control room Officer- controlling the security of the facilities doors, issuing of facility keys to employees, controlling entrance and exit access to the facility for family visitation, pending juvenile court hearings and vendors. Data entry into the BCJDC system, answering telephones, distributing mail, recording sanctions, preparing key logs, and keeping an accurate count of juveniles in the facility.
Orientation Officer II (back up person)
Conducting the initial searching process of female juvenile entering into the facility interviewing the youth, collecting information and creating a file on the youth entering into Bexar County database system using the Bexar County Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS). Screening and conducting the MAYSI-2 psychological testing on youth
physical, mental and gang affiliation. Retrieving personal property, and valuables from
the youth, placing them in the property room of the detention center, pending release.
Showering female youth and issuing initial room assignments, and clothing. Providing
the facilities management and staff with a daily assigned sleeping rooster, an alphabetical
rooster and a population count of all juveniles detained in the center. Preparing youth with an exit release from the center whether it is be released home, Texas Youth Commission or to a placement center. Juvenile Court Volunteer of juvenile reading program at local YMCA of Read/Write Program for local gang members and their families.

1999-2001: Security Supervisor/Human Resource Manager -Smith Legacy Security, LLC

initial enlistment process. Security Supervisor and dispatcher of guards. Providing a safe and secure environment, reporting to all branches of the military on the conduct of
potential recruits pending processing. Conducting observational check assuring their conduct is professional. (Company no longer in business, sold out recently)
Human Resource Manager
Conducting hiring and interviewing process of potential security officers, commissioned and non-commissioned officers to provide security service to customers and facilities.
