I booked Custom Coach for our daughters wedding and we are less than impressed with this company. I hired the 36 passenger trolley & the 56 passenger coach to drive from Brunswick Maine to New Gloucester Maine on the weekend of 20 July for the wedding party and all of our guests. One of the six trips to and from the hotel and venue went well, the other 5 not so much.
The driver of the coach bus showed up late at the hotel to pick up our guests and then to make matters worse he drove right by the venue and had to turn this coach bus around in the middle of a back country road. The wedding started 15 minutes late which created a ripple effect for the rest of the night. Neither the trolley or the couch bus had adequate working air conditioning.
I called the company on the next business day to let them know what had happen and the office manager told me that they where aware of the air conditioning problem and apologized for this and the driver of the coach being late. He told me that he was going to talk to the general manager about what had taken place and someone would get back to me. To date I have not heard back from them.
Custom Coach moved our guests from hotel to venue and back but we could have done this for much less and not had any of these problems. This was not a low budget contract with them by any stretch.

We chose Custom Coach & Limo for our wedding weekend transportation - we worked with them for both our rehearsal dinner evening and our day-of shuttles. Cameron was quick to respond to all of my emails and thoughtfully communicated to make sure we had all of the information worked out. Our drivers were friendly and safe. Overall, they made an important logistical detail of the wedding easy and totally smooth. Thanks, Custom Coach!

We used Custom Coach in Portland, Maine for all the transportation for my son's recent wedding. The venue was 30 minutes from the hotel where most of our guests and we were staying. They provided a 34 passenger bus on Friday, a 14 passenger van on Saturday morning, and three 54 passenger buses for the wedding guests on Saturday. The drivers were excellent - on time, pleasant, and safe. I highly recommend Custom Coach!

Company doesn't communicate with drivers well. Mitch and Hope and Jason are a bad example of trying to do so. When hired, don't go full time, rather opt for part time. That way you don't have to do a Boston run on 4 hours of sleep. Amazes me how someone hasn't sued them yet out of business! Further more, the equipment is USED, and not much works due to running out mechanics.
Even when driver reports problem to such, the mechanics are short handed. Good company to get your endorsement of school bus and passenger endorsement thru. Then leave immediately! Owners need to take a hard look at Hope, Mitch, and especially Jason! As all they do is put a body in a seat and throw responsibility on the driver! Hell of a way to run a transportation business.

We recently used Custom Coach for our wedding & we had a excellent day! The ride was clean, fast, reliable & our driver was awesome. No complaints on the day of our wedding. The only snag we had was the communication prior to our event. After booking, they were hard to get ahold of & our calls to the company went unanswered. The week before our wedding, we had to be more proactive confirming all the details then executed. They were our only wedding vendor we had this issue with. However, once we did get everything confirmed- our service went off without a hitch. So all-in-all, we were happy.

If you choose these company be prepared for a bad experience and a waste of money. We hired them for our most important day of our life: our wedding. The driver showed up a half hour late picking up guests to our ceremony. We had guests from all across the country attending, we spent many many thousands of dollars for this special day and these guests arrived late to the ceremony missing the most important experiences of the ceremony.
On top of that, because the driver was late and a no-show, dozens of our guests - again, who traveled all this way to be here - ended up paying cab fees out of their own pocket to try and make the ceremony of time- which they didn't anyway. When we called to complain the manager - Cameron - never had a decent explanation, never took responsibility for the event, and was hardly apologetic.
We paid a total of $720, contracted, in advance. When we asked to recoup our expenses, he offered a mere $180, which doesn't come close to the fact they did not honor their contract, our guests ended up paying cab fees in total over $100, and on top of that the obvious emotional distress. I would never choose this company to do business with and anyone considering doing business with them should simply avoid. There are many other companies out there that can do the same thing.
